A range of hand-knitted products, using yarn exclusively from my own alpacas, is available for sale. You can see a range of products if you visit the farm. Ashtonelle Alpacas also attend occasional craft fairs and other functions. Mum and I love using yarn in natural colours in all the items we knit but we do also enjoy experimenting with dyed yarn. We have successfully used both natural and synthetic dyes – both of which the alpaca fibre takes beautifully. We have recently been working with the wonderful ladies at Inspiring Yarns, who have hand-dyed a wonderful range of variegated and solid colours inspired by the amazing local environment.

Please do contact me if you would like anything special knitted – I am happy to take commissions to produce something special for a loved one – and will delegate the knitting to mum! All items can be individually traced to the individual alpaca or alpacas that donated their fleece to provide the yarn my mum and I so enjoy knitting with.
