Beautifully soft and naturally dark silver grey, this 100% alpaca yarn is created from the fleece of alpaca Delaney – who is one of only 3 (at the moment classic grey alpacas in the herd). She was Champion Grey alpaca at the 2019 Northern Ireland Alpaca Group halter show. Carefully sorted and spun locally, it celebrates the purity and character of her fleece. It of course also supports small-scale, ethical & sustainable production.
As a 4-ply yarn, it is lightweight yet strong, with a gentle drape and a silky handle that alpaca is renowned for. Wonderfully warm without being heavy, it’s perfect for delicate shawls, baby garments, lightweight jumpers, and fine accessories.
Left undyed to honour its natural shade, this yarn showcases the true beauty of alpaca fibre — breathable, hypoallergenic, and luxuriously soft against the skin.
