Hello!
Summer has arrived on the farm, the sun is shining, and cria season is now in full swing. Our newest arrivals are making their appearance, bringing plenty of curiosity, energy, and entertainment to the herd.
The alpacas are enjoying the longer days and warmer weather, and there is always something to see—from playful youngsters discovering the world to the older alpacas quietly supervising farm life.
Our Meet & Mingle experiences are running throughout the season and can be booked online. You’ll have the chance to meet some of this year’s crias and watch them growing in confidence day by day. We can’t promise they’ll choose your visit as the moment for a full-speed cria race around the field, but if they do, you’re in for a treat!
If you’d like to arrange something a little different, you’re very welcome to get in touch. Please call Kathleen on 07796 692952 or complete the bespoke request form.
We look forward to welcoming you to the farm!
Meet & mingle experience
Spend up to 45 relaxed minutes meeting our alpacas, feeding them their favourite treats, and learning a little about their personalities and life on the farm. There’s plenty of time to simply watch and enjoy their company, take photos, and even see (and feel!) their beautifully soft fibre and the yarn we produce from it.
Ashtonelle Alpacas is a small, working farm first and foremost, so everything you see is part of real day-to-day life here. That means visits are informal, flexible, and shaped around what’s happening on the farm (and what the alpacas feel like doing!).
Your visit is private to your group (up to 10 people), so you’ll have the space to enjoy the experience at your own pace.
Treats (for the alpacas!) are included.
Visits are seasonal and usually run from late April through to the end of September/early October. Please take a moment to read our Booking Terms & Conditions before confirming your booking.
Children are very welcome, but all under 18s must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times.
As this is a working farm, sturdy footwear is essential (no open-toed shoes), and we recommend dressing for the weather—it can be surprisingly windy here!
For the safety and wellbeing of our animals, dogs are not permitted on the farm.
A donation of £8 per person applies (children under 4 go free so no need to include them in your booking).
